EU-only processing
Klar does not offer an EU-only processing option today, on any plan. There is nothing to switch on.
Stays in the EU
- The stored analytics and account data, in the production database in Ireland (AWS eu-west-1).
Does not stay in the EU
- Collection: beacons are received at the nearest Cloudflare location, which can be outside the EU.
- Cloudflare and Stripe processing, which is worldwide.
- Backups, whose region is not documented.
- Email delivery and optional AI or push providers, whose regions are not specified.

- Every plan: Pageview and event beacons are received by Cloudflare Pages and Workers at the Cloudflare location closest to the visitor. That can be outside the EU. Klar does not restrict collection to EU locations.
- Storage
- Every plan: Analytics and account data are written to one production Turso (libSQL) database hosted on AWS in eu-west-1 (Ireland).
- Subprocessors
- Every plan: Cloudflare and Stripe operate worldwide. The region of email delivery is not specified. See the subprocessor list below.
- Backups
- Every plan: Backups are taken by the database provider, Turso. In addition, the Klar team takes an encrypted full dump of the production database before each release and keeps it in internal evidence storage. The region of neither copy is documented, so no EU-only backup is claimed.
