Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect
We collect minimal data to provide our privacy-first analytics service:
- Account data: Email address (for account creation), and the dashboard settings you save, such as saved filters
- Analytics data: Page views, referrer, country, browser and operating-system family, device type, viewport width
- No cookies on your visitors: the Klar script sets no cookies and does no fingerprinting.
- Dashboard: Signing in uses a strictly necessary session cookie, and saved filters and default filters are stored with your account, like your other dashboard settings. Whether your sidebar is collapsed is kept only in your browser (local storage): it is set only when you click, and is never sent to us.
2. How We Use Data
- To provide our analytics services
- To authenticate your account
- To improve our service
We never sell or share your data with third parties.
3. Data Retention
Analytics data is kept for your plan's retention window: 6 months on Free, 1 year on Starter, unlimited on Pro and Business. Automatic deletion after that window is not live yet; until it is, data is kept, and you can delete a site and its data yourself or ask us to. History you import from another analytics tool is kept until you delete that import or the site.
4. Your Rights (GDPR/CNIL)
Under French and EU regulations, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your data
- Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request removal of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format
To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.
You can delete your account yourself, on the web or in the app, in Settings → General. You are signed out everywhere at once, and your account and its sites are locked immediately. Any paid subscription is cancelled right away, with no refund. Within 24 hours, we delete your owned sites and all their data, your memberships in other sites, your personal saved filter sets, and your enterprise data — API keys, personal single sign-on connections and SCIM records, including any organisation built on one of your sites. You get an email when deletion starts and another when it finishes. Copies in our backups expire with their normal rotation.
Some things are kept, and why. Stripe holds your invoices for ten years, as French accounting law requires. Audit-log entries that name you in other organisations' security logs stay there, kept under their legitimate interest. Report recipient lists and invitations you sent in other people's sites or organisations stay too — they belong to those sites' owners. If you registered a single sign-on connection for another organisation, only an opaque id showing who created it is kept.
5. The Klar app
- The app keeps your latest numbers on your phone so it can show them offline. They are deleted when you sign out.
- Signing in with Google or GitHub opens your phone's system browser; the app never sees your password.
- The app contains no analytics or tracking SDK.
